UEFA EURO 2008 is a soccer game set during the 2008 UEFA EURO championship. Like FIFA 08, this is a great soccer game that tries to deliver the most realistic graphics and playability to both the PC and next-gen consoles. This game has a few new modes with comparison to FIFA 08. The first one that you will notice is "represent your country," which allows you to pick a country and start a sort of identity online. You will get points for won matches and will compete with people from all around the world. However, since only European countries are included in this game, it becomes a little awkward to represent a country that is not your country. Still, it is a nice addition. Graphics look as sharp as they did in FIFA 08, but this time around, there are new effects, like rain and even snow. Both of those factors influence the physics of the game and you can expect to get annoyed at them, just like a real player would. The playability has given a great leap forwards, too. Now for every button, be it pass, long pass, shoot, etc, you will have a bar that allows you to set the strength of the kick, which comes in really handy when you want to kick long lead passes or crosses. Thanks to all the improvements made to the FIFA 08 engine, UEFA EURO 2008 is a fun soccer game that can be enjoyed by both the novice user and the hardcore soccer fan. As with all soccer game demos, this one includes a selection of two teams that you can play with and only one stadium. However, it is a good way to try out this game.
